Maldives, a country that surprised me with its “Islamic culture” and mosques in Male… amazed me with the beautiful nature God has given them.

Consisting of 1,912 islets of which 250 islands are inhabited, the smallest Asian country in terms of both population and area is predominantly Muslim nation in the world. With an average ground level of 1.5 metres above sea level,^[4] it is also the country with the lowest highest point in the world, at 2.3 metres

On the speed boats to the resort, your eyes would take you to the far horizon. You’d see the different colors of the sea. Shades of blues and turquoise as a painter mixing his colors on a white palette.  You cannot but just wonder how the turquoise is just beside the very dark navy blue. Contrasts that amazed me since day one.

Every heaven has a bridge to cross to.. this was our bridge to the resort. Taj Exotica Resort & Spa was our destination. Welcomed from the airport with their personnel and onward, this place made our stay much “unique”.

They used to tell me that a person should keep his foot prints somewhere in his life to be remembered… not a single beach would have whiter sand than this place… white grains of sand traced by the waves dances on their shoulders..

It is my solitude.. between people; yet i manage to be transferred somewhere else. My sould would be touching the beach barely.. or soaked with the dark clouds that carry a new thunderstorm.. or just bathing under the tropical sun ! But i just felt free.. from thoughts..

We’d usually sit here for our drinks which i tell you i was addicted to ..

Ginger was everywhere.. lemongrass.. and syrups.. a lot of them.. a shot worth many many other glasses.. the mixture of ginger and apple.. topped with a touch of lemon under the warm sun was just a shot i had directly into my heart… i fell in love with juices !

Let alone my 24/7, 365 days addiction to Mojhitos (virgin of course)

So we are there to relax right? What is better than abusing the spa! Pampering oursleves and indulging in one of the best services.. so far at least…

It starts with the herbal tea and the cold towel… to feet soaks .. to authentic oils that made you feel you are in another world..

All that aside.. choosing the crystal for the balancing treatment was… memorable lol

After soaking my legs and all the meditation and what comes in between.. the massuest approaches me with this tray of crystals.. and i have to choose one.. each focuses on one of the Chakras.. i really needed all of them.. and i say “needed” rather than “wanted” … but she looks at me in the eyes .. and says “i’ll use the green one… i can see from your eyes that your heart needs special care…” and she goes on and on .. but my mind stopped functioning reaching out for my heart… and there i was.. trying to balance my “heart issues” !

I love food.. i love different tastes and flavors..i love to try.. indulge.. and just enjoy it .. i gained 2kgs as a result (in 5 days) !!!

I always thought that snorkeling was a waste of time.. i used to make fun of those who’d spend hours snorkleling.. the first day.. i jumped testing the waters..the current scared me.. strong current.. the next day i was in my gear.. my brother teaching me the tips and tricks.. and floated .. freeing myself to the waves.. to the current this time.. and here i am conffessing another addiction.. snorkeling was what my soul craves nowadays.. i miss the feeling of being free .. of visualizing God’s beauty in its smallest creatures.. of being able to see the many many fishes swimming together.. in their own special way.. the colors.. the corals.. the different rocks.. the sand.. a piece of art in the least expected places..

Ladies and gentleman, i introduce to “box fish” or so i was told.. and it freaks me out ! totally ! i don’t like them ! when i used to swim and see this lil fella.. you’d find me trying not to touch the ground ! that was not funny !

If you are in Maldives, and you don’t know how to dive, all what you need is a three day crash course and you’re done. But i didn’t take it.. blame it to the weather to start with

Every day i used to wait for the sunset, but it ends up being cloudy and i don’t get the chance to see it.. until the last day .. the most perfect susnet, reflected on the infinity pool … heavan on earth

I’ll never forget the view from the window.. the clouds like sugar candy .. trying to cover the cute little patches of emerald stones on a blue canvass…

I was told that i changed after Maldives.. i wonder .. and wonder what did i forget there.. !
