The Let Simon Decide process is pretty straight forward. First, you select a decision type from the available options (there’s currently more than 40 choices), add a description, and rate the importance. Then you can choose from three different decision making tools: my scores (for deep analysis), my life match (for big decisions), or my points of view (for more perspectives). From there you’ll spend about 10 – 15  minutes digging deeper into each decision, listing out your options and answering questions based on deciding factors.

Why are messages 160 characters:

Why are text messages limited to 160 characters? think think? well .. did anyone ever imagine that it is just because a German guy decided that was the best sufficient number of characters ! 3ala kaifeh!

According to Gizmodo

Friedham Hillebrand was a communications researcher who was working with a group on developing a standard for cellphones to send and receive text messages. So he sat down on his typewriter and banged out a bunch of random sentences and questions, counted up the number of characters it took, and decided 160 was the magic number. I’m actually somewhat curious as to how an old German dude would’ve come up with messages that short in the days before ROFLcopters swarmed in the sky.

Tomas Kral designed a “Lap Counter” which i think is an interesting concept especially for those with kids or who have to do multi tasking

It’s ergonomically shaped to fit the lap of the sitting person and it’s molded for both a container and a working surface.
