Never trust the ocean my mom would say. You never know its next move. Silky as an authentic Chinese material; or choppy as a crocodile’s skin.
But its the ocean.. filled with drops .. salty drops..or is it just nature’s tears reservoir?
In our lives, we ride our boats to a destination.. sometimes we reach.. and others we face the worst storms…hoping to find our ways out of it…
We learn.. we loose.. people was it or “things” or just time while maneuvering..
We try our best to keep this boat floating safe and sound.. and aiming for its destination.. regardless the slaps we get from the waves.. or the stabs we surrender to from the corals.. we still have faith .. we fight .. we stick together.. and tie our knots tighter..to be stronger..
For we are the Captain’s of ourselves..
A Captain is one who knows his way with or without a compass..
A good Captain is one who handles his “boat” perfectly while reducing the losses to the minmum..
A good Captain is one who takes responsibility .. and fulfills it..
A good Captain has faith .. in God .. in himself and his people.. and the first is the one that matters the most.. for God is merciful and generous..
Sooner or later.. the storm will end.. and the ocean will loose its breath and surrender..” for a while”..
Then only you can see that very vague horizon.. don’t assume its a mirage.. for after every each storm.. the sun would rise… pushing away the clouds to clear the way for you.. only YOU ..
Just make sure when you reach the dock to tie your knots well..you don’t want to be a Captain without a boat do you?.. master your cleat hitches.. master your knots..
Master trusting the ocean.. its the wind that you shouldn’t trust
A Last Dot:
May God give you.. for every storm a rainbow.. for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer – Irish blessing
اللهم لك الحمد حتي ترضي ولك الحمد إذا رضيت
ولك الحمد بعد الرضي ولك الحمد علي كل حال
لك الحمد كالذي نقول وخيرا مما نقول ولك الحمد كالذي تقول
Very… profound.
To the lessons we experience during our journey.. To all friends we trust.. to all enemies we wish we never had.. To mistakes we did and are considered a learning process..
Life is not easy.. but worth living
Kudos, thoughts as deep as the Ocean itself. Profound wisdom and a great analogy of life. It is our faith in God, confidence in our abilities and the love and support of our families and friends that give us the strength to meet the challenges of the great ocean of life. Life is but a series of exciting journeys and when we get to rest in between at the calm ports, it is wise to firmly tie the cleat hitch.
nicely said!
@eman: exactly worth living…
p.s: in a storm a person may as well believe he’s strong after all
